Product Description
The BD Vacutainer® SST™ II Advance 8.5 mlserum tubes with inert separating gel and silica particles as coagulation activatorare used for reliable serum analysis of e.g. potassium, phosphorus and LDH. After a short centrifugation period, the gel forms adiffusion barrier between the serum and the blood clot, so that a renewed mixing of the blood components is excluded. This not only reliably excludes contamination of the diagnostic sample with cell components when handled correctly, but alsoprevents degradation of glucose by blood cells.
