Product Description
The QuikRead go® CRP Kit, designed for use with the QuikRead go® testing device, enables the user to achieve aquantitative determinationof C-reactive protein (CRP) fromwhole blood, serum, or plasmawithin a few minutes. Since the test can be performed on-site in the doctor's office, the measurement results can beconsidered directly at the time of diagnosis. CRP is considered a nonspecific but important inflammatory marker that tends to rise significantly during acute inflammations in the body, providing a clue to the possible cause of the infection. For example, viral infections generally result in only slightly elevated measurement results, while bacterial infections, rheumatic diseases, cancer, or heart attacks can lead to moderate to very high values.
